Dua for ease in difficulties

Going through difficult times? Feeling overwhelmed or anxious? Have a test or exam? A difficult report to submit? An impossible deadline to meet? Going through a surgery or medical procedure? Experiencing an illness or loss? Going though labor and delivery? Facing a difficult crossroads in life?

THIS is the dua to have on your lips.

Allah can make the difficult easy. He can calm your heart. He can reduce the anxiety. He can reduce the pain. He can increase your threshold of pain. He can give you an anaesthetic from His power that eases the pain. He can make the worldly medicine work for you or He could make any medicine lose its effect. He can get rid of the pain or He can give you more strength to bear the pain. He can give you the energy to go on despite the difficulty. He can pour hope and positivity in your heart. He can make you achieve an almost insurmountable task. He can make the task easy for you. He is Al-Qawi, the Possessor of All Strength.

Ever wondered why certain things are easy for some people and so difficult for others? Because Allah gives each person different skills, abilities and different thresholds of experiencing difficulties. Allah has the power to make a thing easy for someone and the same thing difficult for another. The ease of something lies in Allah’s hands. Always ask Allah to make a task easy for you. And you will see yourself going through things and doing things you never knew you would be able to, with a strength you never knew you had. And may be when you look back at that time, you will marvel at how is easy it was made for you. Because Allah made it easy. Allah has the Power to do that. So, the next time you feel something is too difficult for you, remember the One Who Makes Ease and ask Him to make whatever you are going through easy for you.

Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja`altahu sahla wa anta taj`al ul-hazna idha shi’ta sahla.

O Allah! There is nothing made easy except what you make easy, and you make the difficult easy if you wish.
